Les Paul Double Cut Anyone ?

A little more than a year. Yup, had a pair of Duncans lying around, so I swapped out for those. It's mini toggle coil top. Looking back I wish I wasn't so lazy and spent the extra effort and just put in push/ pull pots. lol

How are you liking the slim 60's neck compared to the chunkier LP necks ?

I'm 100% certain it's the same color as Gibson only had one trans red for those runs. Just a little more flash in your photos I guess.

Here is DC Les Paul I had a bit back but traded for a DK1. I sorta miss it a whole hell of alot. Not the typical LP I will say

A lot slimmer. I believe it's Gibson’s slim-taper ’60s neck profile. Best way I can describe it is - it's basically a SG neck. Slim taper and 24 frets.

I think you'll like it. It's a lot brighter than the Standards. A lot lighter as well.

Also - one of the best flames I've seen on a production Gibson in this price range (excluding RI and Custom Shops).

Not to hi-jack your thread, but I had a chance to clean her up today and put the pickup covers back on. This is a better reflection of what the true color should look like. It's more of a dark wine red vs. bright bloody red (I think it's because the seller had flash on full blast on the camera - hence the super brightness). The finish is really reflective and color varies greatly depending on the angle of light.

Now that's an interesting one. Doublecut with a factory Kahler and an Explorer headstock. Mid 80's ? They made a Flying V like that too(Kahler with an Explorer headstock).

My luthier had one in his shop last year that a guy had bought at a garage sale where the seller was getting rid of all his gear. He paid $AU200 which was about parity at the time with the $US. Nice amber finish. Upper fret access wasn't that great on it but it played nice otherwise.

Got her in, really nice guitar. I really like the feel of the whole guitar as a whole. It's a bit thinner and significantly lighter than a regular Les Paul. Fret access is better and this thing screams with the 498R bridge pickup. The neck profile is identical to my Faded. Both are 2005's, both have the 60's slim taper neck. Some of the Faded models have the 50's neck so maybe that's the case with yours. The only real difference in neck feel is the gloss finish on the back of the DC vs. the satin finish on the back of the Faded.

I've only played one Les Paul DC along time ago & it was a great playing guitar & sounded great & I like the 60s slim taper necks..
