My new Westone Dimension IV (X4)

Hi. I want to show you my new Westone Dimension IV (X4) with original case.

I can´t Believe it´s a 30 years old guitar and is in mint condition, just like new!

A guitar made by Matsumoku in 1986-87

Sound is more than good.

Master Volume (Push/pull para coil tap)
Tone 1 (Push/pull on/off for middle pickup)
Tone 2 (Push /pull for bridge pickup phase adjust)
floyd rose: Bendmaster FT trem with FT string lock

Pick ups
middle: Magnaflux IV single coil
Magnaflux II UBC humbuckers (Neck and bridge)

The neck profile and frets are great on these. I have a pair of Aria's from before that time frame made in the same factory.

Great shape indeed, just like Jackson Warriors, Kramer Striker 500 model, and so on- Youré right Wlshula, the fretboard it´s dark looks like ebony. One more thing the dot pearls are smaller that it used to be in other models, don´t know why!

DonP, It looks the guitar has been inside the hard case for years, because is in mint condition, no scars, no dings, just like new, awsome for an instrument made 30 years ago!

msaint65 need advice, What can you tell me about a Trevor Rabin signature Westone guitar? There is a guy here in mexico who sales one, he is asking 548 USD with no hard case. how good is the TR model? is it worth for the price?

Here is a great site on all things Westone....www.westoneguitars.net

On the site there is a section on "Signature Guitars" and in that section is the full description of all the Rabin models. Note that these models were Korean not Japanese - I think that Matsumoku were out of the picture by 1990 when the Rabin was available. As far as price, I have no idea what the Mexican market is like....or what the current Westone market looks like. It seems that the price you quote is high, especially without the original HSC. As far as quality, the Japanese made guitars were excellent - think Charvel Model Series quality. To be fair, I only owned 1 Korean Westone and had no issues at all - it was a well made guitar. Hope this helps.
