Yeah, not very impressive for the money. At least with a "10 top" it looks really good. Carvin knocks it out of the park almost every time.GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

Screw the 7A, think of the deal you can get on the 6A. I bet they're blowing them out for like 7k-8k!"I have so much gayness at times. My wife walks in my music room, and there I am, in my undies, listening to "Sister Christian" while lighting fireworks..doin' blow." - Bill Z
"I leave off the back plate and pinch my forskin between the tension springs. That may not work for everyone. But I find that the people love it. Half the tone is in the pud." - Bill Z

Meh. Completely subjective and not industry regulated. The grading of wood used to have some meaning in the distant past but is totally bogus today. I remember when 3A was as good as you could get. Did the maples decide to get fancier on their own? I saw one fly by night maker grade his wood "100A". Even PRS has said he will sell you a 20A top.

YEP, 5A is actually a grade, 7A is a marketing gimmick.

I've been woodworking for thirty years and never heard of 7A maple.......... 5A is as good as it gets.
I guess that Gibson bumped it up a couple so they could charge $4K extra for a signature and a perceived better quality of wood!
