......but she's still holding up nicely and is one of my go to players. Never mind the smudges, I'm in the middle of a jam in solitude and ain't done so I haven't wiped her down yet.
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!
The neck pickup sounds good in the position it ended up in. Really not much different than normal on the high gain channel and soloing, it does sound a lot different playing clean. Where I usually play with both pickups on with a H/H setup, I really like just the neck pickup for clean with this guitar. It's a Jazz/JB setup like most of my others so the position definitely changes that. The extra frets are a cool option to have, but really it just makes the access to the 24th better than any Kelly I've ever had.
As for getting one, just search those clone sites and you'll surely find a builder willing to do anything you want. Just make sure to check their rating and reviews. Also, make sure to tell them to either leave the headstock blank or have a custom name put on it.

All the hardware and electronics other than the kill switch were replaced. Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz combo.

the original pics aren't showing up. How many frets does it have again? You mentioned above that the extra frets have made access to the 24th better than Kelly you've owned. So I'm guessing 26? 27?
Yeah, it's 27 frets. The pics aren't showing up for me either.....weird.
