**no, I am not going to include pictures because I haven't taken any yet, but also because you can google the guitar and see what they look like because they all look alike.
It's the anniversary tribute to the RG565.
I gotta tell ya,,, I am quite impressed.
I wasn't expecting anything spectacular based on the price point, plus the quick price decline in the secondhand market. But, damn, I am quite fond of the thing after only 48 hours. In fact, I haven't played this much (outside of work) all summer, my fingers are actually hurting this morning and my ears are ringing too.
It is in flawless condition, so I don't know if I want to keep it and scratch it all up or if I want to sell it before I scratch it all up, lol.
I traded Jessica, a black cherry Ltd EC-1000, named after a girl I once 'knew' (read between the lines) for one of these. A bright metallic (almost glittery) red one that I think I am going to name Jack (Butler). Hey, it's either Jack, or Disco Santa, lol.
I am wondering, where it may fall on the quality ladder. Obviously this isn't a Prestige, but it is built much better than my other similar Ibanez guitars. I'm curious if they made the 25th anniversary series nicer because they were recreating old models, or maybe if those older models were just better which would mean these would be better too.
And of course, my gas, I think I should pick up one of the other XXV models. Maybe the fluorescent pink?
Has anyone ever owned one of these and the original RG565 to compare the two?
