  • Mike learn on sparkle finishes ala jackson ?

Guys i wonder if Mike Learn could help others refinishes on a sparkle purple color? or has anybody have any experiences with Mike learn on how he charge on a typical guitar for a refinish job plus a repair which requires an extraction of the fingerboard, replace new fingerboard and to refinish a guitar of customer choice ie sparkle purple ?

Yeah, he can do all that. I don't know what he charges though.

Yeah give him your phone number. I have been working with him currently on a couple refins. He is great to work with. He is not cheap but in the range of all the other guys out there. I was going to get new inlays which I opted no on just because of the cost it seemed more than it was worth to me ( it would have cut into my second project). He can do all the work and has very reasonable lead times.

Mike can pretty much do it all.
He's not cheap, but like Tetsuo said, his prices are in line with others of the same caliber.

He made my 5A look fantastic.

Yeah, Mike's great! Marty Bell does some great sparkle finishes too..

Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Ditto.. If not Mike... Marty would be my second choice ( actually he be my first choice for a "sparkle finish" but I have no doubt Mike would do an outstanding job as well)

Like others have said, Mike does good work and his prices are in line with the rest of the market. If you're going to shop around, also check out GMW Guitars. Lee has some killer metallic/sparkle finishes as well. Check out his website and Facebook page for pics of his recent refin projects that include some cool sparkle finishes.

Mike did this Hamer for me. It looks amazing. It has a metallic purple undercoat that you can only notice when the light hits it a certain way.

Mike did my Kramer Explorer. It was metallic black to begin with, and he added the silver/black skull checkers.

Thanks! I saw he did a black/red and black/white checkerboard on a couple Soloists, and I just had to have it on something.

Mike did two solids for me, my XPL and a Archtop soloist and he told me after my last project he was done with solids and I should be feel special because I was the last one. Don't know though, never hurts to ask and it isn't platinum pearl white you seek either so he may just take it on
I like black and white guitars
