I sent Ovation an email about my broken battery box in a long out of warranty/purchased from eBay guitar a couple of years ago. I was told that they would only sell the part to an Ovation dealer, and I would have to provide said dealer with a receipt showing I was the original purchaser. I told them I wasn't seeking a warranty repair, just the part, but they repeated that I'd need to provide a serial # and original receipt before they'd send the part out to the local GC, who was my closest "dealer".
I didn't find them easy to deal with...maybe they've gotten better? Never did get my battery box fixed properly...just rigged up the broken one. LOL
I'm guessing that's why this guitar has an aftermarket box on it. It's glued in place but the original screw holes are still there. I lost the pop out battery part and cant find the same one to replace it so I figured I'd just replace the whole box with original. But looks like I can't. I'll just order another aftermarket and make do. Thanks for the help..
I bought a new Adamas. When I received it it had a different preamp than in the specs listed on their website. I called the factory and told them of my issue, they took care of me. I sent them the the preamp that came with the guitar and they sent me back the preamp that I was expecting.
