Not too sure many on JCF is into Teles but I got this one in the first week of January. I never owned a Telecaster before, I started playing in late 81. I started liking the Ritchie Kotzen Tele's and started shopping for one to see what the deal was. I found they were made in Japan, great guitars but prices high. While shopping this one kept haunting me, I negotiated a good price outside eBay and just had to have it.
Although this from afar looks like a classic 60's Tele custom it is a modern smoker. 22 jumbo/narrow frets, 9.5 - 12 compound radius. This had the chrome hardware and Fender Twisted Tele pickups stock and I swapped everything to gold hardware, put a DiMarzio super distortion (tweaked tele version) in the bridge and a Duncan STR-3 Quarter Pounder in the neck. Great guitar and dunno why I never wanted one LOL...I figured after 30 years of playing guitar and finally getting LP's in 2012 that I loved them and would give the tele a try to see...love the thing too. Very versatile, can melt faces or make you fall asleep on a ballad all with a roll off on the guitar volume and tone controls.
Purple sparkle, tough to photograph but the thing pops in person but here ya go..
