    You're right, it's not the "Elites", it's the newer "Deluxe" models. I'm not an ESP guy, got them mixed up.

    It's funny, those neck-thru LTD "Deluxe" models are basically identical to the DBZ/Diamond Barchetta model which can be had cheap in the used market.

        I have one of the originals. The changes Jeff specced on the new model are cool. Unfinished neck, thinner lighter body, EMG 57/66 set, swapped the knob & selector

        thanks, xeno. Will have to check it out next visit. They did have a ridiculous discount on the guitar at their last sale a few months back. A too-good-to-resist price reduction. But like I need another guitar, right?

          Thanks! Yeah, quality is comparable to USA Select Jackson, binding a bit nicer. There are no visible seams on the neck or headstock binding on that stealth, but there often is on a Jackson. Sounds great, super low action, great fretwork, all top end components except for maybe the Grover tuners. If you put that guitar in my hands and said it was a $2000 guitar, I would have believed it.

            @markD

            I briefly played a PRS SE Custom 24 today and fell in love! How is yours with a Floyd? Or the other ones? I was surprised that their regular tremolo could stay in tune. Overall feeling of the guitar was quite good too. Talk me out of it or give me reason to get one! lol

              BenoA, get one. They are awesome. Truthfully, I prefer PRS' regular trem over the Floyd. It stays in tune, but has better tone than the Floyd. My Floyd CU24 is cool, but I don't use it for the trem - that guitar is in drop C, and the Floyd is used to keep it in tune. Again, GET ONE!!!! I am up to 5 and I love them all. I am looking at adding another VERY soon....

                Thanks markD! It's now on my "to have" list. BTW How much are these SE with standard PRS trem going in the USA? With our currency going down the drain, everything has been going up lately...

                  New the SE Custom 24 goes for around $750 at GC. Used they go for between $449 and $549 from what I have paid. The single cuts seem to go cheaper. I have bought a few over the years (not Tremonti models) and they seem to go for around $399 to $449.

                      The stuff that WMI puts out is fantastic. I spent a fair amount of time with the Korean Ormsbys at NAMM and they're really nice.

                        I think my question above got lost in the shuffle...... if a Schecter's serial number starts with a "W," does that mean it's made by WMI?

                          I only have one PRS SE, a 245, and it is a wonderfully well built guitar. The SE Custom 24s I've played locally are all consistently solid instruments, too. I plan to follow markD's lead and slowly add more of them to my collection.

                            I tried out the NJ V with ignitor inlay at the 12th fret, and hated the neck. I want a neckthru warlock, ebony board, neck and headstock binding, but no body binding. There is such a warlock out there, with a somewhat long model number, but none in any proximity where I could try one out.

                                Thanks. I'm sort of on the lookout for one now. If that one didn't have the rosewood board, it would have come home with me.
