Powertube, how are the Lithiums? How do they compare to the M series pups? I've got M22's in my 88 DC200 and a M22SD in the TL60 and love 'em, but I'd like to hear some thoughts on the Lithiums.

      There always has been.
Got my 7-string and 8-string like that. I'll be ordering a one-hum 6-string with Floyd eventually.

I really want the ST body for my next one, but I don't really care that much for the reissue pointy headstock like you've got. I wish they'd do the '92 pointy version like this with the straight string pull.

I may also go Holdsworth headstock or the V headstock, but can't make up my mind yet.

I was just on the Custom shop builder and could swear I saw that headstock as an option....will have to try to find it. Or maybe I'm hallucinating which is always the safe bet .

Yeah, I (think) it's listed as "RIN" Reverse Inline Headstock on the DC127 builder.

Nah, they don't offer that pointy one any longer. The standard inline or reverse inline is like on my SC90.

They never brought back the '92 headstocks with straight string pull that look closer to Ibanez.

That's sounds really cool. One suggestion, though: if you like the feel of a Jackson USA Soloist, then definitely pay $50.00 more for the Thicker Neck option.

There was a headstock back in the day that got them a "cease and desist" letter from Jackson's lawyers. Was it this one? My memory sucks, but it seems like someone on the Carvin board posted about asking them to do one like what you posted and they said no.

It's hard to describe sounds with words, as you know, but I'll try it. The Lithiums, to me, seem just a tad hotter than the C22B's. The C22B's have an ever so slight "twang" to them across my Carvin X100B/Boss GT-100 setup. The Lithiums are very tonally rich but with great definition. The C22B's sound great, but there's something lacking on the overall "punch" and I haven't quite put my finger on what it is yet. They're powerful enough, but something's not quite 100%. I wish I knew what it was.

Also, to my ears, the Lithiums sound somewhat in the ballpark of the Duncan JB's on the Soloists.

The one that looks similar to Jackson is this one. Obviously, they won't do that due to Jackson's ceast and desist.

The '92 pointy looks a little similar to Ibanez, but I'm not exactly sure why they won't bring it back.

I got the "standard" neck profile on both of my builds which are very comfortable for me. But I've been trending toward thicker neck profiles over the last few years so I'll have to give the thicker neck a try.

I see. That one looks like what I remember from the Carvin catalogs around the late 80's.
