Despite being a huge fan of Hamer Cali's and Diablo's, I have always had to suppress my desire to get a Standard- IMHO the archetypal and iconic epitome of Hamers- because of their short scale and 22 frets. I even tried a 24 fret Blitz- their "no frills" lower price-point version of the Standard. Could not get along with the short scale. So, finally I decided to have a long scale version custom made.
Here's the spec break down:
Mahogany body w/ creme binding
Set maple neck (no binding)
Ebony board
24 jumbo nickel frets
2 Humbuckers- Bridge p'up coil tapped w/ creme p'up rings
Orig. Floyd Rose recessed/floating
1 Vol., 1 Push/Pull Tone, 1 kill switch (either mini toggle or button ala Buckethead), 3 way toggle w/ creme colored Gibson style plate, on lower horn per Hamer Std.
Reversed "hockey stick" head stock
Custom inlays- MOP
Satin finish on neck
Fender/Cali-style cable jack (located on rear lower side edge)
Black finish
It'll look similar to this:
