I love it!! A reverse headstock Explorer is hard to argue with! I'll be honest though, I'd be so tempted to cut a triangle out of the butt of the body and make a Star out of it...
That first pic you posted of that black one is awesome! Is that what you're planning for this build?'Howling in shadows
Living in a lunar spell
He finds his heaven
Spewing from the mouth of hell'

More or less
And if I didn't already have two CS Stars from Jackson and Charvel, I'd be doing just exactly that.Last edited by vector; 05-06-2017, 10:11 AM.

Badass. Insist it's balanced perfectly. Sometimes when you dick around with a basic design in terms of scale length or number of frets it can throw the balance off. Of course most reference Gibson designs are unbalanced anyways so you really can't go backwards can you._________________________________________________

Not sure how to correct that outside of moving strap buttons around. Unfortunately, we all know too well that there's a limited area for moving the strap buttons. My two CS Star axes are a little neck heavy. A wide leather strap seems to fix that. I'm hoping that with a littl more mass in the ass end of the Standard, it won't be quite so neck dive-y._________________________________________________
