A guy in Mexico is selling a Dana Scoop (Alvarez korea made) with Seymour Duncan, Schaller Floyd german made, need advise, a good guitar? worth the price 500 USD.

I have one, but with the more rare maple fingerboard. Cool guitar from the early '90s, plays well, decent Korean quality. The body is a little on the smallish size-wise but comfortable. This one seems mint and that color isnt too common. The german Schaller and the duncans are pluses. The price is probably on the high side. There's a couple on reverb.com for $499/$575 that have been there for 7 months, not sold. -
Atually I have two, one with an even more rare graphite neck bought new in 1993 for $485, and the maple board one bought in 2004 for $300. These prices is probably why my immediate thought was $500 in 2017 seems high.Comment

I have had 2 one red with a rosewood board and a black one with a maple board.
Both were 9 out of 10 condition and great playing guitars.
$400-$500 is maybe a little high but not unreasonable if you get the original hard case and case candy.
Both mine came with an Alvarez leather strap, all the wrenches and Alavarez T shirts.Really? well screw Mark Twain.Comment
