So happened to look at Facebook on my phone this afternoon and in one of our local gear trading groups, one of the members posted "Would anyone be interested in a genuine vintage 80's Roscoe shreder for $300?". I thought about it for 2.5 seconds and said "I'll take it".Turns out he was trolling the local pawn shops and picked it up to flip (which means he literally hit it for practically nothing...).
Anyway it's a marble finish, lightly flamed maple neck with a pretty rosewood fret board, Kahler Spyder tremolo, Seymour Duncan Custom Custom Trembucker at the bridge and a Duncan single at the neck. Also had the trem arm (bonus) and a hard shell case. $300 is a song for one of these as he said "Hey man, there's about five guys trying to buy this out from under you..." when we were discussing meeting up.
It's got some dings and finish checking/cracks, but once the filth was removed it looks decent for a player's guitar...and that neck!
Keith Roscoe makes very expensive guitars and basses. I consider myself lucky to have picked up two of them cheaply over the last two years...
