Lovely. I'm a sucker for Jackson headstock'ed ESPs.

A lot of people 'bag' on that trem, but I have a few 'jackson headstock' ESPs with that trem and have no problem with them. If the whammy bar is not included, that will definately be a problem for the new owner.

Those ESP Sinclair locking trems are build great out of hardened metal.. great tremolo.. some guy sells stainless steel bars he makes for them on Ebay for like 40$ if you look around. ESP was up against a licensing issue with FR tremolo in those years and guitars with that Sinclair seem to sell for less. Great buy if you want it for a player. takes some work to mod those guitars to a real floyd but it can be done if you have a little talent :-) post spacing is the same as a real floyd but sometimes the trem cavity needs a little shaved off.. the recessed versions can be a bitch because of the baseplate shape.

I can attest to this. My 1990 Mirage Custom seen above had a recessed Synclair/Sinclair trem originally, but an owner before me routed the existing recess cavity on the face of the guitar to fit the baseplate of the Gotoh GE1996T that is now on the guitar. The work was done rather well overall, but you can still tell that the guitar was originally routed for a Synclair. What the owner perhaps did not consider at the same time was to also route the rear cavity because currently I cannot pull up on the whammy bar very much; the trem arm socket bumps into the wood in the rear cavity. Not too big a deal since I seldom need to pull up, but hey...

Quality on the Eii stuff is outstanding, but the resale value isn’t the greatest. I was able to score a recent Horizon 3 non-term for $850 in great condition. As a side note, the high gloss finish ESP uses is a fingerprint magnet!
