Well, I am a proud papa of a guitar conceived over a year ago and started in February of this year. I've wanted a maple boarded guitar for a while now and this is what I and a local luthier have come up with. I love myu Koa SD1 so this one is based on that guitar but with different woods. This is kind of guitar I wish was in the SD range too.
The specs are: one piece Brazilian mahogany body, thick, highly flamed maple cap and a very awesome piece of flamed/birdsye maple for the neck with jumbo frets. Original Floyd, Duncan Custom and 59 pu's, Jackson 3-way toggle switch and a push/pull volume knob.
Only got her last weekend and am still amazed at not only how good she looks but how great she sounds and plays too. We always knew we had a looker on our hands, now she backs it up with great tone. This ones gonnna get played out a lot!!!
And oh yeah, pics do not do this thing justice....
