I have used the big 3 (UPS FedEx and USPS) for the last 5 years and they are all equal oportunity package smashers. From a convience and a price standpoint, I use UPS for all 48 state shipping. Anything to Alaska and HI and International I use USPS for price only.

When I get something shipped (FEDEX), I opt to spend the couple of extra bucks to have it next-day air. So far, I've been lucky and everything has arrived safe and on time. To even minimize my problems, I have the package put 'on-hold' and I pick it up from FEDEX.
