• ESP Jake E Lee

I just got an ESP Jake E LEE signature strat off the Bay.
THe weird thing is the fretboard is maple! Has anyone ever seen another Jake with a maple neck?
What info is floating around out there on these axes?
I also scored an ESP Vintage series strat and I'm gonna do a comparison to see if the signature on the HS was worth the extra cheddar..

they are very different than the vintage in setup not quality. Jakes are 24 3/4" scale & have 2 different fret sizes.
& yes ive seen other maple board jakes.
is yours a strat headstock those are rare
nice guitars but IMO not worth what ive seen them sell for.

Yes, they were available in both rosewood and maple boards. I have a '95 ESP catalog that features them. They had 24.75" scale, frets 1-12 jumbo, 13-21 normal (medium jumbo, I guess), had ESP pickups, bodies were available in black, snow white and purple.

NO.. It's not a true strat headstock.. It's the crappy strat shape with the ball cut off.
I believe this one was made in the last couple years and was NOT a production Jake. The logo is definately different then a production ones..

That is a production head that ESP put Jake signature and put ESP logo aside.
