Was there any link between the 2 companies? I have a deal pending for a white strathead, with 1 hum 1 single, No pickgaurd, recessed floyd, 1 vol, 1 tone, 1 mini toggle, Neck plate has an engraved esp logo. ANyone know anymore? [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

I think there are not except they are located close to each other.
I remember when Performance guitar shop was in Hollywood(close to MI),ESP had a Sunset Custom right in front of Guitar Center.
Last I remember is ESP had a factory(custom shop) a block from MI in Hollywood and Performance shop moved to another location still only 5-10minutes drive range.
ESP and Performance have nothing to do with each other. -

esp stratheads are rare
look carefully i know ESP headstock logos are available. I also dont think that strathead stocks were available during the same period as recessed floyds. cease & desist orders on stratheads was way before recessing, also it WONT have a custom shop logo. every 48th ST. custom esp ive seen DID NOT have a custom shop logo just like old GL models there was no custom shop logo YET
i dont know if u can trace ESP serials but i would depending on what that guitar is gonna cost.Comment
