FYI: I saw in the HC Classifieds today that Tim Kelly's brother is selling all his remaining gear (custom made Robins) and stage wear, etc. Say what you want about Slaughter, but that guy could play. RIP.

Dude had some skillz for sure...and a nice guy too. When I was workin' for a rock station in Lincoln a few years back, the band came to town for a gig. We set up a charity softball game, with band members and radio freaks split up between the two teams. This was in June, and it was about 100 degrees. The entire band was there, and very accomodating to all who showed up to see this fiasco. I just about killed Blaz trying to catch a fly ball as we ran into each other in the outfield. I was never a big fan of the band...at one point I jokingly referred to the band on the air as "Just laughter with an "S". (That got the phones lit up!) But as a player, I was saddened to hear of his passing.
