Scheter C-1 Stealth Arrives!

My Schecter C-1 Stealth arrived today. I paid only $475 for it from Musician's Friend. It is easily the best guitar I've ever played under $1000. It's got the best features in this price range.

Mahogany body
Maple neck
Rosewood fretboard
Seymour Duncan pickups, SH-6, SH-1
Tonepros bridge
Grover tuners

It plays and sounds amazing. The neck is fast, and very comfortable. The only thing that I don't like about it is the rosewood fretboard, but for under $500, you can't expect ebony. Still plays great. It had a slight buzz at first, but after switching to 10-52's, adjusting the action and truss rod, it plays excellent. I'll post pics later tonight or tomorrow.

Congrats! Looks like your Stealth is the same as my Papa Roach with the neck and body binding added. I agree, very good guitars for the $. Quality made and great feel and sound. I hear ya on the rosewood, would have been sweet if they put ebony on these!

Can anyone compare these to any of the import archtops that Jackson has produced in the past (750xl, archtop pro, etc)?

That's sure a purty guitar ya got there!

I think these are structurally not that different than a 750xl, although I think the feel of the neck would be way different on a Schecter, since they use a much different neck shape than Jackson does. Also, the 750xl is a very thick guitar--very much like a Les Paul that way. The set-neck Schecters I've seen are not so thick--more like the Archtop Pro--but of course the Pro has an ebony fretboard.

Yeah, that is a Coffin Case, and no, it didn't come with the guitar.
