Carvin C980 jumbo acoustic... any good?

This is probably the nicest looking jumbo in that price range. The problem is that I've never played one before, let alone seen one. I'd be ordering from Carvin directly, but I'm pretty iffy about that since my family isn't big on internet shopping (I made a post about that a little while ago).

How does it compare to, say, a Taylor with similar materials and hardware, in that price range?

From the Taylors I've played(I'm talking TOP OF THE LINE Taylors) they weren't that BIG of a deal... I've played Takamines and Seagulls that sounded better. Don't even get me started on Martin... sounds like a friggin cardboard box..

Judging by Carvin's extremley good reputation.. I'm sure it'd be an incredible guitar for the price.

I have 2 Carvin electrics and they are great for the money, I would buy a Carvin Acustic with no worries [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img] Jack.
