Well, the guitar was originally built with an ESP neck around a year and a half ago or so. GMW's build times were shorter then. I later changed my mind, so sent it back to Lee to have a new neck put on her. That took about 9 or 10 months, but was not a standard "rock replica" job. The neck's gloss finished, not oiled, so it took longer than their usual times.
Lee's work just can't be beat. Well worth the wait. And Dan's graphic is just amazing. The pics don't do it justice.
