k yea, but even after looking at the jackson site again WITH the prices this time ( ) i still cant find a neck-thru wit those specs at that price? and you said its "too pricey"
of course, im not comparing the build quality at the same price im sure jackson kills an ltd, but still for that price, isnt that a good axe?
Maybe people are saying it's overpriced for those above reasons, buy hey man, if you like it and you this it's worth that much to you, then by all means go for it. I overpayed for my Ibanez Jem, and I'll OVERPAY AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR IT! Nicest playing guitar I've ever seen, heard, and played.
I actually like the ltd series unlike most on this forum. If you compare the KH602 with the rest of the LTD series I'd say it really is overpriced.
I think guitars like the M302 and the MH301 are priced very good but those KH sigs are just too high imo. You pay for the name. I know the emgs and floyd are the real deal but still.. for that money you can get a much better axe..
Neck-trhu, OFR w/ locking nut, EMG 81s, 24 frets, cool inlays retailing at 1299?
Anyone ever try one of these out? I dunno, seems pretty nice to me, i mean thats pretty much what I'd get in a custom guitar anyway.
The jackson site doesn't seem to have any prices anymore, so i have no clue what a comparable dinky or soloist would run me.
Well, They're going for about $899 at places like MF, and for $799 you can get an SL3, made in Japan, with Seymour Duncans, Neck-through, Maple cap and 'cool inlays'. Only difference really is the OFR vs. Jackson JP580LP. But, you also have Korean vs. Japanese Manufacture. If you're a Kirk or a Met fan, go for it. Its slightly overpriced maybe for a Korean guitar, but its well-specced.
Its stated as 'Maple' body in the ESP catalogue, but it probably is an error for 'Maple with Alder Wings' I think. The inlays are Pearloid I think.
Just my input. If you want it, get it. Its probably a good axe. There are other options for import neck-throughs if thats what you want though.
i bought a KH502 not a 602. so it's not a direct comparison. What a POS!!! I sent it back for exchange. way over priced should be a 400 to 500 street price tops.
Hell for the street price they go for you could snag a lightly used Soloist and be light years ahead.
Yea I'm not really convinved I want that model I was just looking around and thought this seemed like a decent deal for those specs. But of course, you're gonna pay more for the name
I personally find the KH-602 to be better equipped than the KH-2 ^.^ neck thru, instead of bolt on, maple body... i think... i donno, i remember i liked the wood more than the other one lol, and everything else was left the same I found the same modle pretty much in MF for 200 something! isn't that coolios?
If it was a maple body, it would be heavy as hell, not to mention bright as hell. I'd hate to hear how bright and piercing an EMG 81 sounds in that type of body.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
its an alder body on both the LTD and the regualr Sig series KH-2. the LTD is neck thru though, and has the passive EMG pickups as opposed to EMG-81's. I think the LTD is probably better too. I"m not a hater of ESP LTD unlike most people here. Jackson is better, but I would'nt mind owning a couple LTD's either. they're fine.
