Oh yeah, I'm not doubting the playability of Schecter what so ever.
I own a V7 7string. It's a great guitar.
Very well made. Picked it up for $299 a few years back.
Schecters definitely play great.

I just wish these companies would drop the veneers and put that money into better pickups, hardware, and so on.

I'd much rather they have a mahogany neck and body with a carved plain maple top and a good pair of pickups.Than a quilted veneer and fancy inlays.

Kent, this particular model normally comes stock with real set of gold Duncan classic covers (JB/59). I like the veneer just fine. As long as one realizes its cosmetic only and won't affect tone/sustain the way a real maple cap does (i.e. Les Pauls).
