Looks pretty cool, man! Looks as though
you like it too, so that's cool!
I had a Hondo copy of a Yamaha Santana or
Ibanez Artist, and it was really nice except for the hardware and pickups. It
was a real pleasant surprise, so I bet you're feeling the same abour your RR!
Thanks bro,I do enjoy this way more then I did the Mexi Fender Strat that I traded for it.Your right about the pickups and hardware being bad,I have it loaded with EMGs;85(n)&81(b) and I want to install a Floyd Rose on it later on as well
Interesting thing, which you can't see in the pictures,is the owner before me scalloped the neck so it plays a lot faster and smoother
I can't find the top-mount Floyd nuts at the moment, but www.allparts.com has the Kahler-style behind-the-nut locks for $32
in chrome or $34 in black.
You might want to search Ebay with a few related keywords like "Floyd", "Kahler"
(For the behind-the-nut locks) and " "locking" or "locking tremolo" and see what comes up. I've bought decent licensed Floyds for $30 - $40 for project
guitars, which is a lot less than they cost new. That was a couple years ago, at the depth of trem popularity, so they're probably more now. I see the Jackson JT580LP Floyds selling for $70 to
$80 on Ebay now, come to think of it; but
that's just the bridge, no locknut and maybe not even the bar.
Anyway, I hope those ideas help. Good luck with your ongoing guitar beautification!
