I was just thinking about slapping one of those bad boys in my Model 2. I have a Seymour Duncan Distortion that is unreal. I love it, but I hear the DiMarzio rivals it. Care to comment further? -

Don't know about how it would do in a Model 2, but my DiMarzio SD kicks butt in my Fusion Pro, which has a basswood body (which I think the Model 2 did, as well.) A total shredder. I will add, though, that you have to back off the volume quite a bit to get a good clean sound, because they are fairly hot. I also get my best lead distorted tone on my SD-equipped Fusion with the guitar volume down just a bit. Clears it up just a slight bit with also a slightly rounder sound profile--but the full volume shred mode is pretty cool, too!Comment
