Good luck man, that old Carvin was just amazing looking. I wish Carvin would bring back the pointy head but the new one is cool, kind of a layed back dignity to it.

                LOL Box

Well guys.. I told myself that if I ever did find this guitar I was looking for, then I would do everything in my power to get it, and well put it this way. The EB/MM Petrucci will always be there... this Carvin in this particular finish and with these features will not.

He wants $650 for it.. which may be overpriced.. but it's still darn worth every penny! I'll be going tomorrow to sell 3 of my guitars.. so I'll have some left over cash to buy a Pandora or something. lol

Re: FOUND MY DREAM GUITAR, JASON BECKER!!!

Dude, I've been looking for this guitar for a LONG time. I've really wanted this guitar.. for reasons of my own that are really none of your business man.. but if you'd like, then I'll share them with you.

Whenever I listen to Jason's music I get this connection between me and his music emotionally.. it's awesome and it's something that touches me like no other music. His life inspires me so MUCH not only as a musician but as a human being. I want a piece of that.. and by buying this guitar if feels like I'm getting a piece of not only his soul, but a piece of Cacophony and of that era.

This guitar is that special to me.. and if you can't see why I want this guitar.. then whatever. I plan on keeping this guitar for a long time, and because of how much it means to me. I know you're thinking.. it's just wood and wire. But to me, it's more than that. To me, my Dinky, RR3, and Fender are just wood and wire.. but my Jem and this Carvin is special to me in a way that no other guitar can be.

As for how many guitars own.. why do you care? What difference would it make if I owned 2 or 500? It's called Christmas money, Birthday money, and Easter. An amazing family friend(who we call our Godfather, and we call him family now) who has been with my family since my parents got married and my father met him at an AA(Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting, has been helping my mother financially since the divorce between my mother and father about 12 or so years ago. He also gives us money on Holidays and our birthdays.. and helps my big bro with College.. and since he is a doctor we don't have to pay for a doctor. With that money I save up, I buy these guitars.

My mother, however, bought me my Ibanez Jem after she quit teaching to go to another job, and when she quit she recieved 5000 dollars retirement money. She took some of that and bought me a nice present.. which was my Jem. Then when income tax return time came this year.. my mother bought me the Carvin Legacy.

She supports me 8000% in everything I do.

Does that tell you enough, Pat, or do I have to reveal anymore of my personal life to you?

Plus when your 14 you don't have to pay taxes. I loved that, I would work under the table for the company my mom worked for and I'd bring in like $300-$400 a month.

Re: FOUND MY DREAM GUITAR, JASON BECKER!!!

Jason and Marty mainly used Carvins. V220 for Marty, and DC127s for Jason, or some other DC model. I believe he had one DC127, and one DC400. Both same finish, but the DC127 had a maple board(which is the one I'm getting), and the 400 had an ebony one with block inlays.

Jason and Marty were also endorsed by Hurricane guitars somewhere in the Perpetual Burn/Dragon Kiss era.

In the early Cacophony days, Jason had a Fender stratocaster, and Marty had a Jackson Star(I believe..) that shot fireworks out of it's headstock. I've also seen Marty pictured with a Charvel star, though.

There was also a time when Jason was about to get a Peavey signature model released.. but when he got ALS, Peavey backed out. Here's Jason's Peavey guitar(I believe he has 3? Not too sure on that one though).
