• Got pics of my USA BC Rich collection!

Check it out! I'm a happy guy these days! All USA Rich's - just amazing players! I don't have the Skull, Lightning Sky , or the Gray Snake anymore, but the guys at the BC Rich board wanted to see them.

There's a couple pages there, so look at all of them! I even have my older picture of my "Charvel Family Photo".

Enjoy!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It was an OKAY guitar - it was a Class Axe Gunslinger, and I think they all have straight hums. Played marginally and sounded like CRAP. It was in the 1991 catalog though, just like the Yellow Innovator. I TRIED to like that guitar, but it just didn't hold a candle to the 80's models I had at that time. I ended up selling it to Justin Coffman along with the other 4 I had at that time (BIG mistake).

My friend and I built the "Olson Customs". They began life as a block and board. Totally home-made, except for the fretboard. They're cool, but I probably won't do it again.

very nice

my main guitar is a 99 nj neckthru assassin and its great (its all i can afford at the moment)

one question, what headstocks do assassins usually have, mine has a half jackson style half explorer head, thing is i have only ever seen one of these apart from mine (only a pic on the internet), all thre rest seem to have gunslinger heads like your axes,
what heads do they usually have? is mine somethign odd or am i just in the wrong place at the wrong time

I've seen the headstock that you're saying you have on the guitars on the website. I understand that it is a newer style headstock, and is typically found on the higher end "strat-style" neck-thru guitars, and some of the US series strta style guitars. I don't mind the style you have, but I prefer the ones I have. It's not realy rare, but you just don't see too many - the Assassin neck-thru is not the most common guitar by any stretch...

looks good.

I see you have a Line6 Flextone, as well as a Sansamp. How would you compare the two? Are you happy with the Flextone's high gain capabilities, or is the Sansamp your goto machine?

Nice guitars! Do you have a link to the BC Rich board you're referring to?

I could drool all over that Bengal Gunslinger for days ... I think it needs a yellow DiMarzio pup though.

Re: Got pics of my USA BC Rich collection!

Thanks guys! I know they aren't Charvel/Jackson stuff ( ), but it's the next best thing, right? The necks sure feel alot like them!

to answer a couple questions:
Gemini8026 - The Line 6 is my main amp, followed by the Rocktron and then the Sansamp. I bought the Sansamp to use the bass presets (I had the Sansamp RBI, but I play guitar SOOO much more. I sold it and got the PSA-1 which has bass capabilities). That said, I like EACH of the amp for their own reason. The Sansamp has some really over-the-top gain channels, as well as some decent clean ones. So if I were looking for a death metal buzz, the Sansamp would be the one. But the other two amps have a nicer controlled sound, albeit sounds like you're playing a hlf mile away as seems to be the problem with most modelling amps.

Powertube - here's the link to the BC Rich board - but I'll warn you - it's pretty boring compared to this one. About 10 guys that post for the most part, and the format of that board stinks...here it is: http://www.bcrich.com/anyboard/forum/index.html

Word - I'm afraid I'll have to veto your yellow vote! I only went with white because it's all Ross had! That and it kinda gives it a look reminiscent of George Lynch's carved Flaming Skull guitar! It's a pretty cool guitar though - my favorite looker, but not my favorite player. That honor falls to the Glowing Scaryface (right, Troy? ).

Thanks again guys - I appreciate your kind comments! Now I just need to get the Hericane Alice bass up and running!

Powertube the BCRich board does have some of the most un/misinformed people ive ever talked to. its amaizing BCRich has the BB under its web site & allows such false & ridiculous info being shared by supposed collectors. there are only 2 people that i know of on that site BESIDES Neal Moser that know what they are talking about.
bcrich.net
is a great site to check out REAL BCRichs & get info on....anyone speak Japanese?????
