Can anyone give me feedback on these guitars. I have read a lot of great things about them but wanted some feedback from some serious players.

Re: Ernie Ball AXIS
i have one and love it.
the neck is one of the fastest necks i have ever played and the unfinished maple feels great. the neck width is kind of small so it might be a concern if you have large hands. the sound is awesome, it's a midrangy sound, very balanced, not too much of any frequency. my axis replaced all of my jacksons and charvels as my #1.

Re: Ernie Ball AXIS
I've owned an Axis/EVH/Morse/Silhouette Special and they are FANTASTIC - awesome players, great sound...and despite being far too skinny...the best FEELING necks in the business. Whatever they rub on those necks...I need to get a bottle for the old lady.
Get one, you won't be disappointed.Tarbaby Fraser.

Re: Ernie Ball AXIS
I find inconsistancies, not in the specs..just slight nuances, and I'm leaning to the inclination that it wasn't all setup.
There are quite a few models to chose from and accessories to add like a fishman transducer or a floyd.
I was sold on them years ago, but again the price kept me from buying one, now thery're getting in the 'hood of 500-600 sometimes. Silhouette's are nice as well. They're getting more in demand, the prices are going up all the time.
My thoughts on it were it was one of the few guitars you can play tireless for hours..very well balanced, nice weight, they sound great. I think they're a treat to play when you find the one model for you. Makes me wonder why I haven't sold some of Charvels and bought one.

Re: Ernie Ball AXIS
The Axis and EB in general is great. I just wish it had 24 frets and a fully floating Floyd. Otherwise the neck is great and the bolted in pickups are class.I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. - Ayn Rand

No, what I meant was you can only push down on the Floyd not pull back. If they routed out that wood behind the brige teh guitar would be just about perfect.I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. - Ayn Rand
