Ok, folks. I've been thinking and thinking about GMW. They offer some awesome stuff, and I've got many other guitars in mind(EB/MM John Petrucci, Ibanez JPM, Carvin V220) but I want to have as many options as I can and I will decide in the end about what I want.
Well, I was looking around on GMW and saw their Rock Replicas page. I was amazed and drooled over the picture of their Charvel Green Meanie Version 2 replica and looked at the price. $1200.. so I thought that was not a bad price, and this a guitar that I absolutley love and have always loved ever since I first saw an Alcatrazz video with Steve Vai playing a strathead Charvel, and the David Lee Roth video for Yankee Rose with Steve playing his Green Meanie. I thought it'd be nice to own.. and then a custom idea came into my head.. here are the specs:
Stratocaster Body
Wizard II style Neck with a Reverse Stratocaster Headstock
Body Wood: Basswood
Fretboard Wood: Ebony
Neck Wood: Flamed Maple
Neck Finish: Satin
24 Jumbo Frets
Special Inlays: Japanese for Ninja at 12th fret in Abalone
Japanese Graphic with matching headstock
Gold Hardware
Lo Pro Edge Tremolo
Bridge Humbucker: Custom DiMarzio John Petrucci
Neck Humbucker: Custom DiMarzio John Petrucci
3 Way Selector Switch in the same location as the Ibanez JPM
Volume and Tone knob positioned like Ibanez JPM
Other Options: Black DiMarzio Clip-lock strap
I'm not sure as to what Japanese graphic I would use, but the backround would definatley be black.
Also, I'm not trying to rip off the features of Joh n Petrucci's guitars, but the way everything is positioned is the most comfortable to me.
So, what do you guys think?
