    I am not even sure if those are good for fire-wood. I really didnt appreciate it when my brand new SL-2H came in a Fender box. It gave me shivers down my spine and took me like ten minutes to recover.

        Fender are doing these superstrats to draw the Charvel Strathead crowd, not to compete with the Jackson models (Soloist, Dinky, Rhoads, Kelly, Warrior, King V, and Fusion). These are primarily being aimed at those who were asking for Strathead Charvels to be 'legitimized' under Fender's ownership.
        If they play as good or better than cuurent USA Jacksons, you can credit Mike Shannon for that.

          i actually really like the finish on the highway 1 strats, thru colours and a nice matt type finish not the super shiny version like normal

            I agree that the headstocks on those Highway 1's would look better in black or by matching the body color. Other than that, I think one of these with jumbo frets, a real Floyd, and DiMarzio pickups would be pretty *****in'.
