I leave the pickguard on my white custom but took it off the black quilt custom. It looks badass without it.

Thanks for the link on that snakeskin pickguard Jack. It doesn't show the whole pickguard on their website. I'll probably give it a try anyway [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I personally think the pickguard makes the les paul look like a les paul. The 3 ply custom one looks the best too.

The best mod anyone can do is taking off that nasty rhythm treble thing around the selector switch. I think removing that makes them look TONS better, it definitely did with mine.

The Les Pauls with a flame or quilt top font have them, the studios dont have them either. Also the ones with graphics like the Zakk. Black goes with everything so [img]graemlins/evilimages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]
