LKG, good to hear, I guess mine just went bad, There is another good book by Andy Martian I'm not sure if the name, but Hal Leanord puts it out, thats the One I have and it's very cool.

I've played that model of the Universe and didn't care much for it. I briefly had one of the early Universe models back around 1990 (Black with green hardware and green dot inlays), and that thing was an absolute screamer--I only got rid of it because I didn't see a big need for 7 strings at the time. But it seemed to play better than newer ones I've played. Of course, it could just be that the specific 777BK+ I played wasn't that great.

nice one Troy. Very cool with the single hummer too.

Would love to see it just as you have it now, but with a mirrored pickguard. Now that would be MY kind of killer axe.

Well, here's my thing... I HATE Pick Guards. I think they're ugly and take away from the natural look of a guitar so I was going for a more streamlined look so the pick guard wouldn't be as noticeable. hehehehe

yea, that's cool. I'm not big on pickguards either and only own 2 guitars with 'em (my Model 1A & my crappy Vester RG-wannabe).

But I've loved the look of a black superstrat with a mirrored pickguard ever since I saw Glenn Tipton's Hamer

Dont get me wrong though, I have done an EMG job to one of my guitars and I love it but somehow I thought on this particular case the DiMarzio would be nicer... I guess its just because of the tonal richness of these sweet guitars.

Nah.. I found the stock Dimarzio's to be weak and to mid-rangy for my tastes. You know how that goes... Opinions and all that jazz. heheheh
