Re: Ran Guitars

Infernal Death, I really advise you to check out Hex guitars. See, you get a USA hand made guitar to your specs for cheap money. And you don`t even have to pay it all at once. I love Jacksons(in fact, Charvels are all I play), but let`s face it. Import Jackson will be not nearly as good as Hex(or Ran) and it costs a lot more. Not to speak about the price of a Jackson Custom. Smaller companbies like Hex or Ran have more time to put in each of the guitars they made.
This is what my guitar will be: my design, 7 string, Duncan Invader bridge, Di marzio Blade neck, mahogany body, maple neck, ebony fretboard, no inlays, graphic on the headstock, Schaller machines, hard case. 850 $. That`s a little less than 800 EURO. A totally one of a kind guitar.
I will surelly post a pic and a review of the guitar when I receive it.

Re: Ran Guitars

I think I'll stick with Ran. Hex is just too expensive.

What I want is a Stealth with a single EMG 81. That costs $550 EURO, appox. $1000AUD, which will be in my price range in a year.

Re: Ran Guitars

With Ran, you'd hafta pay the VAT and import for your company. For me, it would be the same with Hex.

With Hex, you get a lot less options than with a Ran. The turn around times are pretty much the same. I'm going with Ran probably, just need some money. Well, most of the 980 Euros, or I might simplify my design a bit and maybe later when I can save up some more I can send my axe to GMW for a paint-job.

I did a search on Hex guitars, since I never heard of them, and this is what I found:

That is one hell of an unhappy customer. I think I'll be staying away from Hex guitars.

Wow, that's a major turn-away from hex guitars. I agree with sully, pics would have been cool. But on the other hand i doubt this guy has a reason to make up all those things. Especially with such small companies it's so important to have nice quality and good customer service and it seems like hex guitars has neither of them.
Oh well sure that's a very bad feedback but i am still interested in hearing how warheads hex guitar turns out.

But it's really a bummer to hear such a bad review when there are only very few comments about those guitars.
