  • Scotti Hill from Skid Row, Spector guitars?

I know Spector is known mostly for basses, but I believe Scotti Hill from Skid Row had a couple of Spector guitars back in the day. He had a blue one and red one (Floyd, bridge humbucker, neck P90), they were double cutaway models similar to a Gibson Junior, Hamer Special or Jackson's Scott Ian JJ model. Anyone got any good pics of Scotti with these guitars or any other info on these Spectors? Thanks!

The spector that you are referring to is known as the Blackhawk. They are nto the easiest to find, but Ed Roman has one with a Floyd, and JC's guitars has 2 with fixed bridges.

I remember back when Spectors were part of the Kramer line they offered a few electric guitar models. I saw one brand new and I believe it was made in Japan.

Yeah, I thought they had some kind of connection with Kramer, too, but couldn't quite remember.

            Thier Guitar Tech built these.
Early ones had Spector logo and ater it became Blackhawk.
Joe Perry used ones with Spector logo in 88.
Richie Sambora uses couple of Black hawks on last tour.
I saw them on E-bay after the tour.

I owned the Kramer-built Spector import guitar for awhile. It was neck-thru and strongly resembled the Kramer-made Spector basses (which is the bass I have been using now for many years). The bass is great, but the guitar was not very impressive.

nice guitars the early ones. the main problem is if you play them rough they have a tendency for the necks to shift because the neck pocket has almost no sides. they are hard to find & i would try & find an older one they are really nice. is spector still in woodstock??

BTW Dan Ed has everything, he builds....

Have you guys ever seen the Pedulla guitars? A buddy of mine is related to the original Pedulla factory landlord. When they left they left several carcasses in different levels of completion. We built them all up over a couple of years (it was where I really cut my teeth on building) and sold them all. I think the only one he kept one that was an "EU Wurlitzer" model. They were very cool.

                    Here's a rare find.
Too rich for my taste, but it's along the topic here.
