• Warmoth Questions

It might not be the right place for this question - but it aint gonna get moved!
Right a few Warmoth Q's.

The general consensus is that theyre pretty good right?
Are their V2 (RR) bodies any good? (Notice how I craftily avoided having to spell Randy's name so I dont make a tit of myself? )
Would their V2 bodies fit a 24 fret Jackson neck?
Could they do a body with string thru and tuneomatic? Or is it just stop tailpiece and TOM?
Would the heel of a JX10 neck fit into the pocket of one of their bodies?
Thats it I think
I know I wouldve been better emailing them but f*ck it

Are their V2 (RR) bodies any good?

all their stuff is good

Would their V2 bodies fit a 24 fret Jackson neck?

not if you plan on intonating the project when finished...

Could they do a body with string thru and tuneomatic? Or is it just stop tailpiece and TOM?

they'll rout it however you wish

Would the heel of a JX10 neck fit into the pocket of one of their bodies?

Re: Warmoth Questions

the 24 fretters will have a massive overhang; it's just a 22 fret neck with an extended fretboard that will knock out the neck pickup... if ya need a 24 fret neck to go on a 24 fret body, warmoth pretty much ain't your place.

Re: Warmoth Questions

Warmoth's tech info is very helpful. If you call their toll-free number, they can answer any and all questions you might have about their products, and you will talk to a real live PERSON, not some annoying recorded message.

Re: Warmoth Questions

James, if ya can do without the neck p/u - you can '24' just about anything at Warmoth.
750xl, 88LE, AT1, Roswell Pro, SG-X, 4 others...
Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...

Why do I still want MORE?

Ron mate, tell me more, youre saying that I could put a 24 fret neck on a Warmoth body? Ill have to route it though wont i?.....

Re: Warmoth Questions

no. As Sully said, you can get a 24-fretter from Warmoth, but they aren't a 24 fret neck like you find on, say, a Jackson. They are the same as their 22 fret necks, but with an additional 2 fret extension to the fretboard, designed to fit with no modification on the same bodies that accept their 22 fret necks. So that 2 fret extension will sit further over the body and cover up where the neck p/u would normally sit.

I might go with a Rampart body. Are they any good?
