My BRAND NEW RG 3120!! BEST FLAME TOP I'VE EVER SEEN!

I ordered the last RG 3120 in Twilight Blue from American Musical Supply on Wednesday, and it came today!!!

Hands down, the greatest FLAME TOP I have ever seen on a guitar period. This flame top is better than the ones I have seen on any PRS, Gibson, or Jackson.

Specs:

Lo Pro Edge Trem in pewter color
Twilight Blue Finish with natural binding
Maple neck with Rosewood Fretboard
Abalone Offset Dots
Abalone Logo
Wizard Neck
DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge
DiMarzio PAF Pro in the neck(this is now my favorite combination next to 2 evolutions [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] )
I think this has a mahogany body.. flamed maple top.

It's impossible to catch the radiant beauty of this guitar's top.. these pictures do this guitar absolutley NO justice at all.

The pictures also don't do the abalone justice either.

Nice score man! Looks great! I"m kinda surprised you didn't jump on getting a new ibanez trem, but i can understand the sacrafice with the flame top there!

Actually.. my fingers on my left hand are longer than my right for some reason.. must have happened when I had a cast on my right arm for so long... but I still have small fingers! LOL I'm not done growing yet, however! [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Nice guitar, Word.

I really like the Prestige Series.
Especially the RGT3120 and Artist.
But, thats because I prefer neck thru or set neck.
The bolt on prestige are nice also. Very well made.

I can't understand the limited color options from Ibanez. That's the ONLY color that guitar comes in! [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] The Rosewood boards are also quite unfortunate.

The high end Ibanez guitars seem pretty nice, but I'm a Jackson guy, although I like the playability and feel of most RG's!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

Congrats, Word, that's a beautiful guitar. Personally, I also prefer ebony boards to rosewood and don't understand why Ibanez doesn't use those on its expensive high-end guitars--but then, neither does Paul Reed Smith, and their guitars are way more expensive than even the high-end Ibanez.

So, this should calm your G.A.S. for at least a few days... [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
