Re: Esp LTD M202 vs DXMG

Does anyone have any pictures of themselves or someone else playing one so I can see how it looks? Any customized pics of some? Ive mostly seen the same digital picture all shops have.

Re: Esp LTD M202 vs DXMG

I've played a bunch of both. The LTD's have a crappy feel to me. The trems aren't all that smooth and the necks don't feel all that great. I had a GL500K Kamakazi copy. It came with a Duncan Design HB103B in the bridge that is alot like a Seymour Duncan Distortion. I put an actual SD Distortion in it and it made no difference. I worked on the bridge until my fingertips bled and it didn't make any difference. The neck was like a log, but that wasn't all that bad really. I got it because I wanted to be just like George Lynch. LOL. I put the HB102B from my Jackson DK2 in it and it was pretty darn close to the GL tone. I didn't want to get rid of it, but I got a better deal on something else. I had my Jackson DK2 at the same time and could compare them. The DK2 blew it away period. Better feel, better trem and way better tone. As a matter of fact, I have at least 10 different guitars since I bought my DK2. The DK2 stays everytime. Now I have a Charvel and a Fender. The DK2 just plain blows em all away except for the Charvel. It has it's own purpose. Jackson/Charvel products are hard to beat. The imports are a shinning example of killer value. My next few guitars will be Jacksons and a gunmetal grey DXMG is on that list. You have made the right choice going with Jackson.

There was a guy (don't remember who) that posted pics of his modded DXMG a while ago, he had done several different mods, very cool ones too!

Maybe someone else is able to help you out with the address for the webpage that he uploaded the pics on.
