I actually talked to Larrivee on this one. They were able to look up the serial number and told me exactly what it was and what color without me saying. They said it was made on Feb 5th, 1988.

The pickups I think are Larrivee's own. This one does have an original Floyd and it does look original to the guitar.

Re: Larrivee Neck-thru Custom Soloist Style Electrics

I'd just like to say that I am a complete moron. A few years back, I found in a pawnshop a horribly repainted neck thru Rhoads style V of unknown origin. Well, after a small amount of haggling, I took it home for $100 Canadian. It had some great pickups, a Kahler Pro tremolo, and the neck was awesome. Almost immediately, I decided to strip off the crappy purple paint and attempt to make it look somewhat decent. Well, as I start removing paint from the face of the headstock, I discover that the guitar was originally red, and was...TADA!!.. a Larrivee!!!
Well, to cut a long story short, I refinished the guitar silver with an unpainted neck, but I couldn't salvage the logo. The sad part of the story is a couple of years ago I sold the guitar. I regret selling it more than any other guitar I have owned.

Hahahaha, from my reading I found that yes! Larrivee did make a neck-thru Rhoads which they called the "Voodoo".

Funny thing about this find....... I found something else while there that I picked up that was every much the killer buy.... I could make all you guys sick if I posted the pic

Or come on over to the Larrivee forum. The Larrivees hang out there also and can answer most of our questions...........

The Dean makes the Larrivee(and most Jacksons for that matter) feel like a beginners toy. In all honesty, if Dean had installed factory Floyds... I never would have pickup up a Kramer, Charvel or Jackson.... EVER!
