Just got my Les Paul

Just got this off eBay. I think she might be a keeper. Nice low action without fretbuzz (Didn't think that was possible on a Gibson [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] ) Ebony fretboard and is in great shape. Only setback is that it has Gibson tuners.

Hey Matt, I have the same exact model except mine has the vintage keys. I never had the heart to change them since they NEVER gave me any reason too. Mine's a 1989 and it is a damn fine guitar. Ebony fretboard, gold hardware and great pickups. I have no problem keeping the action low without buzz. It was a gift from wife and it's amazing! I'd keep it!

Cool Dave. Mine is a 90. and I just went over her with a fine tooth comb and can't belive how sweet she is considering it almost 13 years old. Definately one of the best Pauls I have had in my hands.

Yeah, they made them with an ebony board for only a few years I guess and I think this year or last they actually did a reissue of this model. I think they could have waited a little longer but I'd heard it was a "popular demand" type of thing. She's a beauty!

I just got an Alpine White(nicely faded to cream) 85' custom Les Paul! I have been searching for awhile for a good Paul. Unfortunately I feel that alot of them are crap! I hope yours is one of the good ones Matt! [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img]
