I love the toggle switch plate names. That guy is definitely and "arteest"(I meant to do that Ron! ) Excellent and imaginitive inlay work.
Sully, is it true that you do a little guitar work?

it is true indeed...if i can be of service, please let me know.

i really love the guy's toggle switches; i'd love to know how he does it, as they kinda look embossed (engraved?) in there...

any of you arizona residents close to this guy, and/or interested?

Some of those are very cool but I sort of wonder about the wood-cored aluminum bodies with plywood/formica laminate backs. That can't be good for the tone.

I'll be a Tucson resident in about 3 weeks. I don't think I'll be looking him up. They look more like a novelty than anything else. Too radical for me.

Maybe back when I took lots of magic mushrooms, I'd have appreciated those more....

I agree. Not necessarily my taste but definitely different and I'll give him props for that.

Meredith Brooks used one of these on some tracks on her first album... Sounded like a tele to me, tho' it's made of formica and chrome trim with some wood thrown in to hold it all together...

Those are incredibly cool.
I've seen contemporary artists take an old guitar and paint it,
but they usually kill whatever playability the guitar might have
since they are usually doing it for visuals instead of function.
I love what this guy is doing, and he's doing it all from scratch.
Even the pickups.
Very cool indeed.

Thanks Joe!
I just pulled out some old Bloom County books and was flipping through them the other day.
I love the bit about Bill's film retrospective.
My favorite was "Orangestoke: The Legend of Bill, Lord of the Monkeys".

oop ack!
