Looking for a bridge and neck single coil all purpose sounding pickup. Price range 100 to 140. Thanks all.

Re: need pickup info quick

If you're looking for a modern sound that is still clearly single coil in nature, I'd suggest Seymour Duncan classic stacks or hot stacks, depending on your taste in the way of output. They are noiseless pickups.

If you're looking for more of a vintage sound and don't mind hum, I like Lindy Fralin pickups best. Voodoo pickups are nice, too, but probably too expensive (if you're talking $140 for both pickups).

If you are looking for vintage type sound but in a noiseless pickup, I'd suggest Lawrence L-280s as a no brainer at your price point. Very nice sounding pickups, not super expensive.

Good luck, I'm sure others will have good suggestions, too.

Bill Lawrence L280S — the only passive, noiseless pickups I know of that truly get that classic single coil sound.

Seymour Duncan Cool Rails, DiMarzio Cruiser — very tight, modern sounding approximations of the classic sound.

Bill Lawrence L250, Seymour Duncan Hot Rails, DiMarzio Chopper — hotter output, more aggressive sounding, but still brighter and tighter than most full-size humbuckers.
please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking
