• Choosing pickups for a EBMM EVH?

I was not 100% happy with the stock dimarzio's so i traded them for wolfgang pups. these are better sounding in my jackson SL 2h so i put the stock duncan JB and 59n from the soloist in the M/M evh and was very unsatisfied! sounded wrong in this guitar?
anyway the wolfs stay in the jackson(sounds great there!),now what is a real good set for the EBMM? it is a bright guitar to begin with and has a gotoh floyd? i have heard the duncan custom-custom is real good for getting these guitars to warm up and have a very convincing early VH tone? for the neck i already decided to go with a alnico II pro

try an X2N maybe steves special, the custom custom will probably still be on the bright side. I think of the CC as a JB with more, not as bright tho & it sounds killer in a Mahogany warlock ive got..

How about:

PRS HFS or a Dragon II
Gibson 500T
Gibson 498T
I would think that pickups that Ibanez use in their guitars would sound good. Like an Evolution,Tone Zone, Norton, Air Norton, PAF Pro, because their guitars are all made of basswood like your wolf.
The custom custom does sound like it would be a great choice to me.

have to be semoure? how bout the tone zone from dimarzio. it sounds the same in any guitar i've put it in, balls out.

lots of clarity, and low end did not get flabby.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">thanks but the tone zone is based on the pup that the EVH had originally. It does have more bass tough.
I am thinking either dimarzio BREEDS or the CC/alnico II pro?
