I bought a CC/alnico II pro set for my ebmm evh guitar and the CC is without exaggerating the most musical pup i have tried in this guitar yet!
the stock dimarzio custom wound was not to my liking, the CC has a lot more body to the tone,it is also much nicer sounding than the JB that was in my soloist.
it has a rounded top end that compliments the brightness of these guitars and has a creamy midrange that is VERY,very reminisent of the first 5 VH records. it has a real cool overwound P.A.F vibe and does a mean ZZ top "tush" tone [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]
I may go with these in my new wolfgang as well [img]graemlins/drool2.gif[/img]
