Bronze Mockingbird / Squier Strat same level.. Both a buncha bunk. The Mockingbird may just look cooler.

I got a GREAT STORY...

I was in Guitar Center one lunchtime, and the sales person WASN'T at the guitar counter, and some pierced-up, inked-up SMARTMOUTH ZIT-BOMB about 18 was standing there with his Mother {She had bleached-blonde hair with black roots, in a Mumu, REEKING of CHEAP BOOZE, about ready to SPIT OUT her DENTURES she was SO HAMMERED, and her MAKEUP looked like Cheri Oteri on Saturday Night Live when she does the lady with the STACK of perscriptions for Diluad, Morphine, Quaaludes, etc. - Her lipstick and eye shadow LOOKED like she put it on with a BROOM !!! ANYWAY, he was holding one of the Squier Starter-Packs...You know...a LOW-END Chinese Greenwood Special Squier Strat in a triangle box with - like a 10-watt TURD amp - about $169.00 for the guitar and amp...and he was being REAL DISRESPECTFUL to Mom, saying..."GODDAMIT, Ma...They WON'T take the other guitar back...It's a PIECE OF $HIT, and they WOULDN'T give me 20 BUCKS for it !!!"...

Seeing NO G.C. employee around, I said..."What kinda guitar might ya be looking to SELL ??"...He replied..."Man...a BEAT UP BC Rich Mockingbird...It's BEAT TO $HIT !!!"...I said..."I MAY have an INTEREST...I'm heading home NOW...Here's my card...CALL ME when you get home"...He agreed...

I shot home, and about 20 minutes later, this DIRTBAG calls..."I got that guitar here...and I FORGOT...I got a case for it, too"...Well, I DIDN'T want this bag of RAW HUMAN SEWAGE to get within a MILE of the Ol' Hacienda, so I said..."Do you know where the Burger King is at 44th and Sheridan ??...I'll meet ya THERE in 20 minutes...OK ??"...He agreed...It reminded me of a DOPE DEAL in the old days...

I grabbed 3-twenties, a ten and two-five dollar bills off of the coffee table {I WASN'T gonna pay NEAR $80.00, but THAT was what was sitting there} and buzzed up to Burger King, and 10 minutes later, ZIT-BOY and Mom pull up in an old sedan, all primered and FULL of "WHISKEY DENTS"...He reaches in the back seat, and pulls out {NOT in a case} an old, BEAT-TO-DEATH black Bronze Series BC Rich Mockingbird - broken strings, all dinged up...the tip of the headstock looked like it had been leaned against a cinder block wall all it's life...He THEN commences to grab the CASE...This guitar had PROBABLY come out of the case when he bought it, the case had gone under a bed, and the guitar NEVER saw the inside of the case again...

He pulls out a PRISTINE, STUPID CLEAN black Coffin Case that is LOGOED with the BC Rich logo !!!...BC Rich had done these for a short while - until Coffin Case CEASE AND DESISTED them from building Coffin-type cases with the BC Rich logo on them...The guitar was TRASHED...but the case was AS NEW !!!!...Zit-Boy sez "What can ya give me for this ??"...I replied..."Man, that guitar IS WAY BEAT !!!...I'm thinking that about ALL I can use it for is PARTS !!!"

The human turd said - "Man...I GOTTA SELL it "...{I THINK he NEEDED to stop by his friendly neighborhood CRACK DEALER on the way home - he NEEDED a 20-rock, I GUESS [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] }...

"I dunno, dude...Maybe $30.00 ?? "...and I SHUT UP - BECAUSE the FIRST one to TALK - LOSES !!!!...Drunky Mom says, "$30.00 ??...EVEN with the CASE ??"...The kid turns to Mom, and says..."SHUT the F%@# UP, MA !!!!...SOLD !!!!"

I handed him a 20.00 and a 10.00, loaded the guitar and case, up, and COULDN'T get OUTTA THERE FAST ENOUGH !!!!!

I CLEANED up the Mockingbird, touched up the dings with black nail polish, restrung it, and E-Bayed it with a $100.00 "Buy It Now", and it SOLD within 2 or 3 hours...I LATER E-Bayed the BC Rich Logoed Coffin Case...Two guys got into a PRETTY INTENSE BIDDING WAR the last hour...

The CASE pulled $215.00, plus $25.00 SHIPPING {and cost $11.00 to ship} !!!!!!
