• Seymour Duncan JB and 59 Minis (single coil HBs) ??

I have a G&L that plays great, but I don't care for the MFD single coils. I'd like to drop in a Seymour Duncan "JB Jr." in the bridge and a "Little '59" in the bridge.

If anyone has tried these, how close do they come to the real humbuckers? I figure this is a more honest forum, since many are long time JB and 59 players.

I have/had some of each and they are great pups. They tone is close to the full sized pups but a little brighter but not harsh. In the right guitar they sound awsome. In every guitar they sound great. Did that make sense? ANyway. Very cool pups and worth the money if you dont want to do the full sized pups.

Thanks. It sounds like it's worth a try.

I want to drop them into my G&L Legacy's single coil slots without re-routing and buying a new pickguard.

I like both pickups, and I don´t think you can go wrong with that setup. Instant classic rock!

But I think you´ll have a hard time fitting them both in the bridge-slot The JB Jr. goes in the bridge and the Li´l 59 in the neck, right?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> Yeah, that was a typo I waited too long to fix. I meant JB Jr. in the bridge and Lil '59 in the neck - not both in the bridge (but that would be interesting)!

The Hotrails have quite massive output, as far as I recall...it might be a mis-match with the Li´l 59 outputwise.

I like hot rails better than the JB jr. Might wanna think about a hot rails instead. Warmer sounding, I agree the JBjr is a tad bright and thin.
