      Ibanez RG7420 bridge

O.k. does anyone know if the 7string floyd that Warmoth sells will fit The Ibanez RG7420? I put tone zones(with 11's) in it and it sounds great, plays great but the angle of the arm is bugging me, all in all it stays in tune, but the up angle is driving me nuts. The bridge is set up perfect (flush/level etc) so it not that. Any tips would be great.

You know its funny , i know someone who took out a bridge on a old universe and put a different floyd on it , and the other floyd didnt fit one bit , and he had to do all this stuff before it would fit. Im not saying it wont fit yours but dont be surprised if it dont and you have to do some different drilling or something before it will fit because then anyone who owned a ibanez 7 string ( not the new ones with the lo-pro edge 2 ) but the older ones , everyone would be putting different floyds on them.

              Re: Ibanez RG7420 bridge

Will the Lo-Pro Edge 7 fit? I've got an RG7620 with that bridge, and I really like it, can't get it to go out of tune. I'm not sure if the angle of the bridge is the same as the Lo-TRS on the 7420 or not, though. I've never tried that Lo-TRS bridge, but I hear most Ibanez fans can't stand it and say it's crap compared to the Edge.

Lo Pro Edge will not go in directly where a Lo TRS was.

                Your body will require routing.

You know, you probably wouldn't have to replace THE WHOLE TREM if only the arm is bugging you. For one you might try reshaping it. For second, I know there are people who have replaced arm hardware, the stuff that attaches it to the trem. Get a whole new arm and hardware that you like.

DOn't try bending it though. I think the arms are cast and if you try to bend it it will surely crack.
