Try looking for a Jackson Stealth HX. Three hum, string thru. If you can find one they're usually around 200-400. VERY thin neck.

Thanks for the suggestion, but from what I've heard, I think that neck would be too thin. I'm used to a thicker rounder neck. I could go a little thinner as long as it is not extremely flat. Necks that thin have caused problems with my hands in the past.

Hamer USA Diablo, great deals on ebay. Alder body, bolt-on 25.5 scale, 2 hums, medium/thin rounded neck. That should do ya Jack.

        Re: new guitar

I love my other Hamers, Mirage and Chapparal. And I've always planned on getting another one. However, I have heard some complaints about the angled humbucker on the Diablo, uneven balance or string response. I would like a fixed bridge, though. I've got two guitars with Floyds and one with a Wilkinson, so a fixed bridge would be nice.

You can pickup a nice used Carvin DC for that kind of money. They have a neck that sounds like it would be right up your alley. Check the recent JCF classifieds. There is a really nice unfinished DC with a stoptail. You could always route in another hum.

            I've got a hardtail 2001 Carvin DC400 I'm trying to sell, but it's a neck-thru. http://carvin.electricshockmusic.com/toejamdc400_1.jpg

              Re: new guitar

Thanks for the suggestions guys. But I really would like a bolt on, fixed bridge with dual humbuckers. I don't have that combination with any of my other guitars. In fact, I don't have any of those things with my other guitars. I know I can find something out there that fits, but I would also like to hear others' opinions on what they've played. I'll keep looking and you guys can feel free to keep offering up suggestions. I appreciate them all.

Don't know if you like pickguards or not, but Fender's got some cool Double Fat Strats (two humbuckers with five-way switches). Or the Carvin Bolts are routed H/H/H so you can put in whatever pup configuration you want.

                      new guitar

I'm thinking about getting another piece for my collection in the next few months. Here is what I would like: bolt on, fixed bridge, hum/hum pickup config. I would like something that is set up for speed (superstrat type, nothing like a les paul or PRS). I love the neck on my 650XL but I could go a little thinner. However, not as thin as something like the Ibanez Wizard neck (I am in deep loathe with those things). I'm looking for something around $400, no preference on U.S. or import as long as it smokes. Any suggestions?
