• BC Rich Iron Bird

I saw a Iron Bird yesterday whilst i was in london and i want to know if it's worth the money. It was a bolt on neck, Schaller floyd rose, Emg 81 in the bridge (but i know for sure it wasn't the orginal) ,The neck pick up had been removed. On the Head stock it said made in u.s.a This store was asking for £500, is it really worth £500 ?

Assuming that's around $750 dollars, I would say that MAYBE that's right. First I would check the condition of it. Then check the serial number to find out what year it was made. Finally I would price similar guitars both in your area and on eBay to see what the going rate is.

Not 500 DOLLARS, 500 pounds, which comes out to about $750, if I am correct.

New ones cost too much, I'll just have GMW refinish my old ones

Still, it's a USA BC Rich for under $1000, and from what's been said here before, USA guitars are overpriced in Europe, so this should be a great deal.

Is it a reverse headstock or normal? What fingerboard is it? I've got a USA w/EMG81 & SA, reverse head, maple fingerboard that I paid around $500 for. (The original owner got it cheap from a BC Rich distributor).

Have you tryed playing it, i.e. with a strap on the guitar and standing up? I hardly play mine as the balance is terrible. If you let go of the neck, the guitar pivots so the headstock is pointing to the ground. Just thought you should check that out if you could before you buy!
